The last time walking for fitness was about 36 years back, when I was a Boy Scout. I used to do hiking to gain experience and also to qualify for certain proficiency badges in reaching President's Scout Award Since I left college and started working for a living, I have never been doing routine walks as a psychical fitness activity. Though there have been a few times, that I thought about start walking for psychical fitness, it never materialised. Not because, I wasn't able to make time; but solely due to my lack of interest. It changed recently, when I started regular walks in the naighbourhood since last Wednesday, after coming home from work. Laurie & JP have also joined me in my walks. With temperatures rising up to 38-40 celsius, I know it isn't the best time of the year for outdoor activities though.
We started with walking for 30 minutes on the 1st day and yesterday being the 2nd day, we had walked 2.74 kilometers for 36 minutes.
Playing with pulling RSS feeds from here to micro.blog Let's see how does it work.
As much as I managed to get on with some deep working in the day job this morning and feel good, towards the afternoon it became kind of depressed seeing what was happening around with a few people trying their power of manupliation
Anyway, it's all good, I took it easy when got back home and now going to sleep with peace of mind
Here I'm trying out Quill app on the Yogabook on computer mode, using the halo keyboard. That means I'm typing this on a glass keyboard. Perhaps, the glass keyboard or halo keyboard is the future. I don't know. A colleague of mine today was raving about his Chromebook. I said to him my Yogabook runs on Android too is somewhat similar to a Chromebook I like the card view of blog post titles on the Quill tablet optimised versiion.
Here I'm checking the app on a 7 inch tablet. It looks good optimised to the tablet. Most of all Nice and sleek UI.
We are back in old home town after being away for a week in mother Lanka. Most certainly, the temperature have risen up to high 30 Celsius and hot summer is already here.
It is good to be back what we call home; but thinking about daughter is returning back to the UK is not at all a good feeling. She has been here for her spring break from the uni little less than a month. I know, she will be back here again in mid-June for a slightly longer vacation, but still…

We took a selfie at my MIL's home
So, about a week or so ago, I got the invite for micro.blog as a part of kickstarter supporters. But, up until this evening, I wasn't sure about what to do with it. After chatting with Dennis on 10C, I managed to configure RSS feed from here and it seems to pull stuff from here. Then again, if I want to post links to my blog posts from 10C, I can automagically do it within 10C itself and they can appear on Cappuccino. Oh, well…
Just 2 days remaining on Ghost trial version. So far I like the service, specially it's simplicity. It works well on my iPad browser and also has a nifty little Androd app by a developer, so I can even use on Galaxy S7. Oh well, decisions, decisions, decisions…
At the end of the trial, the Ghost User Happiness Team[^1] was kind enough to extend the trial for another two weeks on my request and I thought, that's nice.
So as of today, May 3rd,there are only 4 days left in the extended trial period and I will have to make up my mind about the paid subscription.
[^1 ]: Very cool name
