Back on track(sort of)

In early April, I almost was going to quit the church. More specifically the Prayer Meetings. But then there was this God given angel who has always been encouraging me in her own simple; but at times a bit of forceful style of talking to get me continue to come for prayer meetings. That worked and never I have missed the church since. It's no surprise that she is heading the 'outreach ministry' in the prayer group, rightly so.

I see her as a such a God fearing child; but from what she has told me briefly , she her self goes through tremendous stress in her day job. That's being said, what I admire in her is that, despite of all that, not only she takes time to be with the lord; but also encourage others.

Liane, Thank you and God always bless you!

With a Legend in the Industry

I bumped into legendary Chef Gary Rhodes in the flight Kitchen. I thought it was an honor to pose a photo with him. The photo was taken by Saeed.

Yesterday, the 16 member Basic Charasmatic Service Team(BCST) in the church was installed by the Parish priest Fr. Reinhold. Each one of us had to go in the front holding a lit candle. After a brief prayer, the Fr. individually blessed all the new members of the BCST. Monica - my wife, a strong Catholic and a committed and dedicated servant to the god, did not miss to capture the occasion from her iPhone.
Am still not too sure how best that I could contribute to my role of assistant co-ordinator in what is called 'Media Ministry' ; but I hope Lord Jeasus will guide and give me wisdom in that department. image.jpeg

The God wants me to serve him

On last Thursday I received a telephone call from the Friday Charismatic prayer group leader informing me that I was selected to serve in the Media Ministry within the Prayer Group & asking me whether I accept the role. Without thinking twice and also not knowing what exactly I have to do in the role, I said 'yes' and that I'm grateful that the Lord has chosen me to serve him, even though am not sure whether I'm spiritually the right person. All what I know at this stage is that Media Ministry has two members - that's my self and another lady from the Prayer Group.
Over the weekend I had also received an email from the Prayer Group requesting all those who are serving in various ministries to attend a meeting at the Church in the presence of the parish priest to elect the 'Core Team' - the 4 member executive team who would mainly be leading the Prayer Group, supported by the various ministry members for next two years, For the last several years that I've been going to Prayer Meetings in the church, I never have neither served in any ministries nor attended any formal church meetings. So I'm a bit anxious as to how the proceedings are going to be at the upcoming meeting on this coming Wednesday, particularly because though I have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord & Savior a few years back; I haven't still been baptised and partaking in holy communion during holy mass. So I don't know, under these circumstances, whether I am still qualified to serve the Lord in the Prayer Group ministry. Perhaps, I will find out during the meeting on Wednesday…

10Cv4 is here

Thanks to Jason. I just got into early beta of 10Cv4. Am accessing the site on Safari on my iPad Pro and so far it seems to be working well. Still not sure though what I'm going to be blogging on this site. But I think I will figure out as I go along..

Password issue resoloved.

Here I'm posting from 10Centuries web interface. For quite sometime, I had issues not being able to log on here due to some unknown issues connected with my password. Every time, I had to request a direct log in link by sending a PM from ADN. Even today I did the same and after getting access to admin panel, I set up a new password. I then wanted to check whether my new password would work; so I logged off and re-entered the new password. To my pleasant surprise, my new password was accepted and I was in! This is great indeed.

Durban, South Africa in early 2000’s

OK. I’m posting this for the second time. Some thing went wrong when posting the photo ealier. I found this digital photo printed on a A4 size paper, when I was clearing up my steel filing cabinet ( Yes, I still have one ) in my room. From memory, I remember my colleague Bryan, has taken this photo without me knowing  some time back when we both had travelled on a business trip to Durban, South Africa. I don’t know, for some reason I quite like this photo. Perhaps, because that I look much younger. I have to say, those were some of the best days in my work life.
