Among my college mates, most of us reached our 50 ( or new 25 ) in the year 2014. It was after long 32 years since we left our high school in Sri Lanka, Royal College in 1982. To mark the occasion our friends in Sri Lanka from Royal College Group ’82 organised a Dinner Dance on August 2nd , 2014 at Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel in Sri Lanka.
More than 300 college mates from the group from all over the world gathered at Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel in the evening of August 2nd.. The event started with a cocktail at the pool side, before the main event of Dinner Dance held in the banquet hall. The Dinner Dance started around 2200 hours with the College Song sung by all of us. Thereafter, a pre-recorded audio was played as of our teachers marking the attendance register by mentioning each students’ name. It was indeed a fantabulous occasion in which we met our college friends after almost 30 years, that brought back lovely memories from our childhood.
