So in my Performance Review discussion last week, even though I was asked to give the boss a printed copy of my self evaluation, he hardly even looked at it during the reveiw discussion which lasted for an hour. But he asked me though the goals and competencies I feel, that I have done well. So I said, except one goal ( mind you that was an implementation of a bar coding solution, which I was unable to achieve due to non availability of IT resources and really beyond my control) I have pretty much done well in all the other goals. He asked me though, what could have done better to achieve the IT related goal, for which I said I should have got it done through my informal contacts at Coroprate IT, rather than channeled through the formal process.
As for the competencies, I had marked Develpoing Talent competency as one of my significant strengths, for which he acknowledged and said, he has no doubt about it. That was nice :) At the end of the conversation, I offered him my services to work on Catering Management System Application Project, which is supposedly going to be re-initiated, after the Project closure April last year.
